Kelsey Wishik is an interdisciplinary artist based in the Southeastern United States, whose practice spans sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, and design. Through a diverse range of mediums, including sculpture, two-dimensional works, music, and movement, she explores the expansive potential of creativity as both a unifying language and a responsive form of intelligence.
Kelsey’s approach to art-making is both spontaneous and methodological. She embraces a fluid process, allowing her intuition to guide the creation of each piece while also employing structured methods to ensure deeper exploration of the concepts she wishes to convey. By utilizing different materials and approaches, she reflects on moments in time, emotional states, and the sense of wonder that permeates our lives, constantly seeking to evoke new perspectives. Kelsey finds joy in both collaborative and self-reflective practices. This balance of collaboration and solitude informs her work, pushing her to continuously evolve her artistic voice and creative contributions.
Her art has been exhibited in a variety of public and private settings, nationally and internationally, including the National Museum for Women in the Arts. Kelsey is passionate about pushing the boundaries of artistic expression, using creativity to inspire a shared understanding of the world around us.
